Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 October 2026 · Effective from: 13 October 2026

1. Introduction and acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Alria Group AB ("Givora", "we", "us", "our") governing your use of the website at https://givora.app and any related services, features and applications we operate (together, the "Service").

By joining our waiting list, creating an account, making a donation, listing an organisation, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Service.

If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation, and "you" refers to both you and that organisation.

Current status. Givora is in a pre-launch phase. At present the Service consists of informational pages and a waiting list. Sections covering accounts, donations, volunteering and organisation listings apply once those features become available to you.

2. Who we are

Alria Group AB — Company registration number: 559533-9366. Registered address: Gamla Lillebyvägen 18, 423 54 Torslanda, Sweden. VAT number: SE559533936601. Email: info@givora.app. Contact page: https://givora.app/contact

We are a company registered in Sweden and subject to Swedish law.

3. Definitions

  • Donor: a person who makes or attempts to make a donation through the Service.
  • Organisation: a nonprofit, association, foundation or similar body that has applied for or holds a listing on the Service.
  • User: anyone who uses the Service, including Donors, Organisations and visitors.
  • User Content: any text, image, logo, video, link or other material submitted to the Service by a User.
  • Stripe: Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. and its affiliates, our third-party card payment provider.
  • Swish: the mobile payment service provided by Getswish AB together with the payer's and the recipient's Swedish banks.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to join the waiting list, create an account, or make a donation. The Service is not directed at anyone under 18, and you may not use it if you are under 18.

You must not use the Service if you are subject to EU, Swedish, UK, US, or UN sanctions, or if you are located in a jurisdiction where use of the Service would be unlawful.

5. Waiting list

Joining the waiting list is free and creates no obligation on either side. It does not guarantee access to the Service, a listing, or any particular feature or timeline. We may change the launch date or the feature set or discontinue the project entirely. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send you.

6. Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly at info@givora.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may close your account at any time. Closing an account does not reverse completed donations, cancel commitments you have made to an Organisation, or affect records we are legally required to retain.

7. What Givora is, and is not

Givora is a discovery and connection platform. We help you find local Organisations and make it easy to support them. We want to be direct about the boundaries of that role:

  • We are not a charity or a fundraiser. We do not solicit funds on our own behalf, and donations made through the Service are not donations to us.
  • We do not hold your money. Card donations are processed by Stripe and paid directly into the receiving Organisation's own Stripe account. Swish donations are paid directly to the Organisation's own Swish number. Funds do not pass through accounts controlled by Alria Group AB.
  • We are not a payment institution, a bank, an escrow agent, a broker or a financial adviser, and we are not licensed as any of these.
  • We are not a party to the relationship between you and an Organisation. A donation, a volunteering arrangement, or any other commitment is between you and that Organisation.
  • We are not an employer, employment agency or staffing service in respect of volunteering opportunities listed on the Service.

8. Organisation listings and what "verified" means

We describe listed Organisations as "verified". This means that, before approving a listing, we carry out basic checks, typically confirming that the Organisation legally exists in a public register as a nonprofit or similar body, reviewing its publicly available financial records where such records exist, checking that it has a real presence in the place where it says it works, and confirming that the person applying appears to be authorised to act for it and that the listing describes a plausible, lawful nonprofit activity.

Verification does not mean that we audit an Organisation's finances, monitor how donations are spent, endorse its work, assess its effectiveness, or guarantee that it will do what its listing describes. We do not warrant the accuracy of anything an Organisation publishes about itself.

Donate with your own judgement. If you want assurance about how funds are used, ask the Organisation directly, review its published accounts, or check whether it holds a Swedish 90-konto or an equivalent certification in its country.

We may decline, suspend or remove any listing at our discretion, including where an Organisation no longer meets our criteria or where we receive credible reports of misuse.

9. Terms for Organisations

If you list an Organisation on Givora, the following applies in addition to the rest of these Terms.

9.1 Application and approval. You must provide accurate, complete and current information about the Organisation and your authority to represent it, and update it when it changes. Approval is at our discretion and can be withdrawn.

9.2 Legal compliance. You are solely responsible for complying with all laws applicable to your fundraising and operations, including registration requirements, fundraising and solicitation rules, tax and accounting obligations, anti-money-laundering rules, data protection law in respect of the personal data you receive through the Service, and any rules governing the issuing of donation receipts.

9.3 Use of funds. You must use donations received through the Service for the charitable purposes described in your listing, and you must not misrepresent how funds will be used. If a stated purpose becomes impossible, you must say so publicly on your listing.

9.4 Stripe. You must maintain a Stripe account in good standing and comply with Stripe's own terms and any applicable Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Stripe's terms govern payouts, fees, reserves, disputes and account suspension, and we have no control over Stripe's decisions. Card processing fees are deducted by Stripe.

9.4a Swish. If you want to receive donations by Swish, you must hold your own Swish agreement for organisations with your bank, connected to a Swish number in the Organisation's name, and comply with the terms of your bank and Getswish AB. Swish payments go straight to that number. Any Swish fees are charged by your bank under your agreement with it.

9.5 Fees. Being listed on Givora is free. The tools for Organisations described in section 9.9 are paid services, charged at the prices and on the terms shown when you choose to use them. Givora does not take a fee on donations. If we introduce or change fees, we will give you at least 30 days' written notice, and you may stop using a paid tool or remove your listing before the change takes effect.

9.6 Communications with supporters. You may contact people who have donated to you or applied to volunteer with you only for purposes they would reasonably expect, and only in line with applicable marketing and data protection law. You must honour unsubscribe requests. You must not sell, rent or otherwise transfer supporter data to third parties.

9.7 Content. You are responsible for everything you publish on your listing, including updates, images and claims about your work. You must hold the rights to any material you upload.

9.8 Suspension. We may suspend or remove your listing immediately where we have reasonable grounds to suspect fraud, misuse of funds, illegal content, sanctions exposure, or a serious breach of these Terms, and we may inform affected Donors and the relevant authorities.

9.9 Tools for Organisations. We may offer listed Organisations tools such as a dashboard, the ability to publish activities and updates, and suggestions of companies that may be relevant to approach for funding. Such suggestions are based on publicly available information, are provided for information only, and are not an introduction, an endorsement or a promise of funding. These tools may change or be withdrawn.

10. Donations

10.1 Direct to the Organisation. When you donate, you are entering into a gift transaction with the receiving Organisation. You can pay by card or, where the Organisation offers it, by Swish. Card payments are processed by Stripe and settled into that Organisation's Stripe account. Swish payments are approved in your Swish app and paid directly to the Organisation's Swish number.

10.2 Fees. Card processing fees charged by Stripe are deducted from the donation. Any Swish fees are paid by the Organisation to its bank. The amount displayed at checkout is the amount that will be charged to your card or that you approve in Swish.

10.3 Donations are final. Because a donation is a gift rather than a purchase of goods or services, it is generally not refundable, and the statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts under the Swedish Distance Contracts Act (distansavtalslagen) does not apply to it. We will nevertheless ask the receiving Organisation to refund a donation where there has been a technical error, a duplicated charge, an obviously mistaken amount, or an unauthorised transaction. Contact us at info@givora.app within 14 days, and we will pass the request on. Because we do not hold the funds, the refund decision rests with the Organisation and, for card payments, with Stripe, and we cannot guarantee an outcome. Swish refunds are made by the Organisation to the number the payment came from.

10.4 Recurring donations. Recurring donations are made by card. If you set up a recurring donation, you authorise Stripe to charge your card at the stated interval until you cancel. Swish payments are one-off and must be approved each time. You may cancel at any time through your account or by contacting us, effective for future payments.

10.5 Receipts and tax. We send a confirmation of each donation. A confirmation is not a tax receipt. Whether a donation is tax-deductible depends on your country's rules and the Organisation's status, and any official receipt must come from the Organisation. We do not give tax advice.

10.6 Chargebacks and disputes. If you dispute a card charge with your card issuer, the dispute is handled by Stripe and the Organisation under card scheme rules. Questions about a Swish payment are handled by the Organisation and, where relevant, your bank. We may share relevant transaction records with them to help resolve it.

10.7 Anonymity. If you choose to donate anonymously, we will not display your name publicly or disclose it to the Organisation. The Organisation may still receive limited transaction information directly from Stripe or, for Swish payments, the payer details that Swish shares with the recipient, and legal or accounting obligations may require disclosure in some circumstances.

11. Volunteering

Volunteering opportunities are posted by Organisations, not by us. We do not screen, vet, background-check, interview or supervise volunteers or the people they work with, and we do not verify that an opportunity is safe, insured, suitable or as described.

Any volunteering arrangement is solely between you and the Organisation. You are responsible for satisfying yourself about the Organisation, the role, any insurance, and any required checks, particularly where the work involves children or vulnerable adults. Organisations are responsible for carrying out any legally required checks and for the safety of their volunteers.

Use ordinary caution: meet in public places where appropriate, tell someone where you are going, and do not share more personal information than the role requires.

12. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive purpose;
  • create a listing for an entity you are not authorised to represent, or misrepresent an entity's purpose, status or use of funds;
  • launder money, finance terrorism, evade sanctions, or use the Service to test stolen payment credentials;
  • post content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, discriminatory, obscene, or that infringes anyone's intellectual property or privacy;
  • impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with one;
  • upload malware, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its systems or other users' accounts;
  • scrape, crawl or harvest data from the Service by automated means without our written permission, or extract personal data for marketing or resale;
  • circumvent rate limits, security measures or access restrictions;
  • interfere with the operation of the Service or place an unreasonable load on it;
  • use the Service to send unsolicited commercial messages.

13. User Content

You keep ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for formatting and display purposes), publish and display it for the purpose of operating, promoting and improving the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies retained in backups, in legally required records, or where the content has already been shared by others.

You confirm that you hold all rights necessary to grant this licence and that your User Content does not infringe anyone's rights.

We are under no obligation to monitor User Content, but we may review, edit, refuse or remove it, for example where it breaches these Terms or applicable law.

14. Reporting illegal or infringing content

If you believe content on the Service is illegal or infringes your rights, please tell us at legal@givora.app with:

  • a link to the content;
  • an explanation of why you consider it illegal or infringing;
  • your name and contact details (not required for reports concerning certain offences);
  • a statement that you believe your report is accurate and complete in good faith.

We will confirm receipt, review the report without undue delay and in a diligent, non-arbitrary manner, and tell you the outcome and how you can challenge it. Where we remove content or restrict an account, we will give the affected User a statement of reasons and an opportunity to contest the decision by replying to legal@givora.app. This section reflects our obligations under Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (the Digital Services Act).

Point of contact for authorities and for users under the DSA: legal@givora.app.

15. Intellectual property

The Service itself, including the Givora name and logo, the website, its design, text, graphics, software and databases, is owned by Alria Group AB or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law.

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, licence, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from any part of the Service except as permitted by mandatory law.

Organisation names and logos belong to the respective Organisations and are used with their permission for the purpose of their listing.

16. Third-party services

The Service relies on and links to third parties, including Stripe for card payments, Swish for mobile payments and Mapbox for maps. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, and outages or decisions on their side may affect the availability or functioning of the Service.

17. Availability and changes to the Service

We provide the Service on an "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, restrict or discontinue any part of it, temporarily or permanently, with or without notice, for maintenance, security, legal reasons, or because we change our product. We aim to give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can, and we will not do so in a way that deprives an Organisation of access to funds already donated to it.

Features may be released in beta or preview form and may contain errors.

18. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.

In particular, we do not warrant that:

  • the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free;
  • information published by Organisations is accurate, complete or current;
  • an Organisation will use donations as described, remain solvent, or continue to operate;
  • a volunteering opportunity is safe, suitable or as described;
  • donations are tax-deductible in your jurisdiction.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have as a consumer under mandatory Swedish or EU consumer law.

19. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Subject to that:

  • We are not liable for the acts, omissions, insolvency, misconduct or misuse of funds by any Organisation, Donor or volunteer.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, data or anticipated savings.
  • Our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the total fees you have paid to Alria Group AB in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) EUR 500.

If you are a consumer, these limitations apply only to the extent permitted by mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence, and your statutory rights are unaffected.

20. Indemnity

If you use the Service as a business or as an Organisation, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alria Group AB, its directors, employees and agents against any claim, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right. This section does not apply to consumers.

21. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, if you breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, if we reasonably suspect fraud or illegal activity, or if continuing to provide the Service to you would expose us or other Users to material risk. Where practicable and lawful, we will give you notice and an opportunity to remedy the problem first.

You may stop using the Service at any time.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including Sections 13, 15, 18, 19, 20, 22 and 24, continue to apply.

22. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Swedish law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules.

If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence within the EU, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country. You may also refer a dispute to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN), Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, www.arn.se, whose recommendations we will follow, or seek help from the European Consumer Centre in your country (www.konsumenteuropa.se in Sweden).

If you are not a consumer, the courts of Gothenburg (Göteborgs tingsrätt), Sweden have exclusive jurisdiction.

Before starting formal proceedings, we ask that you contact us at info@givora.app so we can try to resolve the matter directly.

23. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before it takes effect, and it will apply to you from that date unless you stop using the Service and, where applicable, close your account or remove your listing beforehand. Changes required by law or for security reasons may take effect immediately.

The current version is always available at https://givora.app/terms.

24. General

Privacy. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy at https://givora.app/privacy, which forms part of these Terms.

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms we present for a specific feature, are the whole agreement between us regarding the Service.

Severability. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in force and the invalid provision is replaced by one that comes closest to its intended commercial effect.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.

Assignment. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms to a group company or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, provided your rights are not reduced.

Force majeure. Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil unrest, strikes, epidemics, failures of telecommunications or power networks, or acts of government.

Language. These Terms are written in English, and all communications about the Service will normally be in English. If you are a consumer resident in Sweden or elsewhere in the EU, this does not affect the mandatory consumer protections available to you under the law of your country of residence.
